Ethnic:

·       Refers to a social division based on shared culture.

·       People within the same ethnic group believe in common descent due to similarities in physical type or culture.

·       Religion or nationality may vary within an ethnic group.

Majoritarianism:

Belief that the majority community should have unchecked rule, disregarding minority interests.

·       Ignores the needs and wishes of minority groups within a society.

Civil war:

·       Violent conflict within a country between opposing groups.

·       \Conflict intensity may resemble that of a war, involving armed combatants.

·       Often arises due to deep-rooted political, ethnic, or social divisions.

Prudential:

·       Decision-making based on careful calculation of gains and losses.

·       Contrasted with decisions based solely on moral considerations.

·       Focuses on practicality and long-term consequences.

Community Government:

·       Empowers different social groups to manage their community affairs.

·       Aims to work collectively for the common good without undermining any specific community.

·       Promotes self-governance and community development.

Federal Government:

·       System in which governance is divided between a central (national) government and regional (state or provincial) governments.

·       Each level of government has its own powers and responsibilities.

·       Designed to balance national unity with regional autonomy.

Reserved Constituency:

·       Electoral constituency designated for a particular section of society.

·       Ensures representation for marginalized or underrepresented groups.

·       Aims to promote inclusivity and diversity in the political process.

Coalition Government:

·       Formed when no single political party secures a majority in parliament.

·       Several parties join forces to govern collectively.

·       Requires cooperation and compromise among participating parties to achieve legislative goals.
