🧄 Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)
- Salt to taste (optional)
- ½ cup water (as needed)
- Flour for dusting
- Ghee or oil for brushing (optional)
🍽️ Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour and a pinch of salt (if using). Gradually add water and knead to a soft dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.
- Divide into small balls. Roll each ball into thin circles using a rolling pin with dusting flour.
- Heat a tawa and place the roti on it. Cook on medium flame until light bubbles appear.
- Flip and cook the other side slightly, then flip again. Place directly over open flame until it puffs.
- Remove and brush with ghee if desired. Serve hot with curry or dal.
