🧄 Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup chopped methi leaves
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
  • 1 tbsp curd (optional)
  • 1 tsp ginger-green chili paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to knead
  • Oil or ghee for cooking

🍽️ Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix wheat flour, chopped methi, turmeric, chili powder, sesame, ajwain, curd, salt, and ginger-chili paste.
  2. Knead into a soft dough using water as needed. Rest for 15–20 mins.
  3. Divide dough into balls. Roll into thin flat rounds.
  4. Heat tawa and cook each thepla on both sides with oil/ghee until golden spots appear.
  5. Serve with curd or pickle.
