🧄 Ingredients
- 2 cups idli or dosa batter (fermented)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 green chili (chopped)
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp chana dal
- Few curry leaves
- Oil for greasing and frying
🍽️ Instructions
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, then add urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, green chilies, and onions. Sauté until golden.
- Mix this tempering into the idli/dosa batter along with coriander and ginger.
- Heat paniyaram pan and grease each mold with oil. Pour spoonfuls of batter into each cavity.
- Cover and cook on medium flame until the base is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until crisp.
- Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
