🧄 Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked rice (cooled)
- 10–12 garlic cloves (peeled & sliced)
- 2 dry red chilies
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp chana dal
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- Few curry leaves
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp sesame oil or any cooking oil
- Salt to taste
- Optional: pinch of hing (asafoetida)
🍽️ Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add urad dal, chana dal, and red chilies.
- Add sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant.
- Add curry leaves, turmeric, and a pinch of hing. Sauté briefly.
- Add cooled rice and salt. Mix thoroughly so garlic oil coats the rice evenly.
- Serve hot as a quick lunch or evening meal.
