🧄 Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour (roasted puttu flour preferred)
- Salt to taste
- ½ to ¾ cup water (as needed)
- ½ cup fresh grated coconut
- Puttu maker or idli steamer
🍽️ Instructions
- Mix rice flour with salt and sprinkle water little by little to make a moist crumbly texture. Flour should hold shape when pressed.
- In a puttu maker, layer grated coconut and rice flour alternately. Start and end with coconut.
- Steam for 7–10 minutes until well cooked. If using an idli steamer, place in moulds and steam similarly.
- Gently unmould and serve hot with kadala curry, banana, or sugar and ghee.
